Purpose of M.O.P.S. MOPS meets moms' needs. The MOPS program works. MOPS International is unique in its specific focus on mothers of preschoolers and understanding the needs of these critical years. MOPS has developed a relational program designed to meet those needs. MOPS makes an eternal difference. MOPS helps families come to know Jesus in a personal way. Women and their families come into a church - sometimes for the first time - and find caring friends, encouragement and instruction. MOPS is for every mother of preschoolers. MOPS is an open door to every community. It successfully meets the needs of both churched and unchurched moms, in urban centers or rural towns, moms of every age, ethnic background and lifestyle. MOPS grows leaders. MOPS provides a place for women to grow as leaders by working with one another. With leadership resources provided by MOPS International and a team atmosphere to work in, mothers are encouraged to take an active role in their group. When and Where??? MOPS will meet every other Thursday night from 6:30pm-8:30pm starting September 3rd running through December 10th. We will also have play dates each month. Moms will drop their children off in either the MOPPETS classroom (the preschool room) or the MOPPETS nursery, and then moms will meet in the ladies classroom. M.O.P.S Fall Schedule: September 3rd October 1st November 5th Christmas Party December 10th
What does a M.O.P.S. Meeting Look Like? Moms will arrive at the church between 6:15pm and 6:30pm to drop their children off in the MOPPETS zones. These zones are a safe place for the children where they will be cared for without the mom’s worry. The 3-6 year olds will have a lesson time and craft along will play time and snack. Moms then meet at the island where they will find an inviting atmosphere ready for fun and relaxation while learning from the bible. When moms arrive there will be a time of refreshments followed by a skit or ice breaker. Next we will have a lesson ending with discussion groups. The discussion portion of the meeting allows moms to connect with other moms and discuss the Word of God as it applies to their families and lives. To end the meeting we will have a craft time that allows the mom’s to learn a new skill or idea that they can enjoy. It is important to note that this program is an OUTREACH to the community!!! Other churches are invited along with the community as a whole!!! This is an opportunity for our church to open the doors to moms who may not go to church but are searching for a place for their kids!!!
